Hi! My name is Alyssa McClanahan. I’m a historic consultant and historic preservationist in Cincinnati, Ohio.

I hold a PhD in History from the University of Cincinnati, with a specialty in U.S. urban and environmental history.

For the last ten years, I have worked as an independent researcher, conducting place-based historic research on old buildings, collaborating with community organizations on creative public history projects, and authoring books and articles on urban and environmental history.
